About the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

As a division of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), the Museum School is one of only three art schools in the nation that are affiliated with a museum.

The MFA is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world; the collection encompasses nearly 450,000 works of art, including a contemporary art collection. Recent acquisitions include works by Christian Boltanski, Chuck Close, Rineke Dijkstra, Robert Mangold, Takashi Murakami, Bridget Riley, Amy Sillman, Sarah Sze, and Kara Walker.

Museum School students have free access to most Museum exhibits and are eligible for all Museum work-study positions. The Museum also hosts the School’s annual Traveling Scholars Exhibition.
