In recognition of World AIDS Day, join us for a screening of the prize-winning documentary film A Ripple In The Water at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The documentary, shot on location in South Africa, focuses on the inspiring work of grassroots artist and activist Kim Berman (MFA '89). Following the screening, a reception and benefit sale will take place in the atrium of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Featuring eco-friendly, handmade stationary, journals, cards, and crafts made by the South African women featured in the film, the sale benefits Phumani Paper, an organization that works with and supports 17 papermaking enterprises in seven South African provinces. To date, they have created more than 250 jobs in mostly-rural communities affected by unemployment and HIV/AIDS. For more information, call 617-369-3618.
