Summer Courses and Intensives
Summer Continuing Education intensives are offered as one-week intensives (daytime classes), four-week intensives (two nights per week), five-week intensives (one night per week), six-week intensives (two nights per week), and eight-week intensives (one night per week). See the dates in the course listings to determine the intensive's length.

Fall Studio Art Courses
A wide range of studio art courses for both credit and non-credit, and high school workshops for credit.

Certificate Programs: Graphic Design and Illustration
Certificate programs in graphic design and illustration lead to credentials representing proficiency and skill that will help differentiate you in today’s competitive workplace.

Programs for High School Students
We offer Saturday courses in the fall and spring and the Pre-College Summer Studio. Join us—whether you are developing a portfolio, want to attend art school, or simply are a creative person with untapped potential.

Pre-College Summer Studio
The SMFA's five-week Pre-College Summer Studio is a unique and rigorous program focused on making art, sharing art, and living art.

Resources
Advising
One-on-one advising with faculty and staff, which will help you navigate the School's Continuing Education offerings and create paths of study based on your strengths and interests, as well as the School's interdisciplinary philosophy.
Artist's Resource Center
The Artist's Resource Center, which offers career advising, job links, internships, professional-focus courses, community-partnership opportunities, and a wealth of online resources such as artSource.

Exhibition Opportunities
The School offers exhibition opportunities for Continuing Education students. The second annual juried exhibition of Continuing Education student work, "ceX²:The Some of Us," was held last summer.
