My daughter's experience at the School of the
Museum of Fine Arts has played a critical role in her development. She has
produced a portfolio that clearly demonstrates extraordinary growth and
maturation, both as a fine artist and as young adult. She can be fiercely
independent and [the] School provided her with the necessary balance between
expressing this through her art and working with others in a collaborative
manner. These skills will last a lifetime.
As a parent, I was concerned with whether she
would acquire a truly liberal arts education, or would academics play a minimal
role in her education as a fine artist. Clearly, the Tufts affiliation more than
addressed these concerns. Because of this affiliation, and most importantly her
hard work, nurtured by [the] faculty, she applied to graduate schools in art
therapy at George Washington, Lesley College, and New York University. She was
admitted to all three and will begin classes this fall at New York University
where she will pursue a Masters in Art Therapy.
