Student Groups and Funding

All SMFA students earning their degree through Tufts University are eligible to join or initiate a Tufts student group. Numerous student groups already exist at Tufts. If one of these does not suit your needs, you may find your own niche by forming a unique student group. Tufts offers generous funding to support student groups and activities, and there is a strict process through which students must go in order to register and develop a budget for their group. More information, documents, and forms about student groups may be found at http://ase.tufts.edu/osa/. It is well worth intitiating a student group at both Tufts and SMFA to benefit from the diverse communities and the multitude of funding opportunities.

The Office of Student Activities supports all student groups. Direct any questions to that office or, better yet, stop by and speak with their staff in person. You may call them at 617-627-3212. The Office of Student Activities is located in the Mayer Campus Center at 44 Professors Row.
