2008 Traveling Scholars Announced

The Exhibitions Office is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2008 Traveling Scholarship Awards:

Lizi Brown
Wendy Jean Hyde

Traveling Scholarships are determined annually through a juried competition. The award consists of scholarship funds to be spent on travel for the development of individual artistic goals and study, and the opportunity exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). The “SMFA Traveling Scholars” exhibition, featuring the work of these award winners, will be on view at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in the spring of 2010.

Recipients were selected by jury members Camilo Alvarez, owner and director of Samson Projects (Boston); Lillian Hsu, director of Public Art and Exhibitions at the Cambridge Arts Council; and Annette Lemieux, mixed-media artist and faculty member in the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies, Harvard University.
