Alumni Recognized by Massachusetts Cultural Council

Congratulations to the five Museum School alumni and one current student who have been awarded 2008 Artist Fellowships by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC). The MCC annually recognizes the unique contributions made by artists to the cultural vitality of the Commonwealth.

The nearly 40 artists who have been named MCC Fellows will each receive a $7,500 unrestricted grant; 24 others have been distinguished as Finalists. These outstanding artists were selected from 1,800 applicants in a wide range of disciplines including choreography, drawing/printmaking, painting, fiction/creative nonfiction, poetry, and traditional arts.
