Alumni Traveling Scholars Announced
April 25, 2008

The Exhibitions Office has announced the alumni recipients of the 2008 Traveling Scholarship Awards:

Michael Buhler-Rose, Bachelor of Fine Arts 2005
Liz Cohen, Bachelor of Fine Arts 1996
Christopher Lamberg-Karlovsky, Master of Fine Arts 2000

Alumni Traveling Scholarships are awarded annually, based on a juried competition. Awards consist of scholarship funds to be spent on travel for the development of individual artistic goals and study, and an exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA). The “SMFA Traveling Scholars” exhibition featuring the work of these award winners will be on view at the MFA in the spring of 2010.

Recipients were selected by jury members José Luis Falconi, art forum curator at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard University; Denise Marika, artist and educator (Massachusetts College of Art and Design); and Gregory Williams, assistant professor of Contemporary Art at Boston University.

Congratulations to the winners!
