Alumnus David Taylor Receives 2008 Guggenheim Fellowship

The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation recently announced the 2008 Fellowship recipients for the United States and Canada. David Taylor (BFA '89) was one of 191 artists, scientists, and scholars chosen from a group of more than 2,600 applicants, and was award a Fellowship for photography.

The Foundation was established in 1925 by United States Senator Simon Guggenheim and his wife. Fellowships are granted annually to further the development of scholars and artists by assisting them to engage in research in any field of knowledge and creation in any of the arts, under the freest possible conditions and irrespective of race, color, or creed.
