Welty (FY '01, Dip
'99) will be on view in an exhibition honoring the finalists for the 2006 James
and Audrey Foster Prize. Gallagher and Welty are two of the four finalists for
the Foster Prize (formerly known as the ICA Artist Prize), which recognizes
Boston artists whose
work demonstrates adventurousness, conceptual strength, and skillful execution.
The winner of the
$25,000 biennial prize will be announced in February, and the exhibition will
remain on view through March 11,
2007. The four finalists
include Gallagher, Jane D. Marsching, Kelly Sherman, and Welty.
