Biography
Evelyn Rydz (drawing) is an artist, gallery director, and youth and adult art educator recently named one of “10 Artists to Watch” by the Boston Globe Magazine. Rydz received a BFA from Florida State University (’01) and a MFA from the Museum School/Tufts University (’05). She has shown work at Scope Art Fair, Miami (’07); Rhys Gallery, Boston ('07); Berliner Liste Art Fair, Berlin (’07); Red Dot Art Fair, New York City (’07); the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Lincoln, Mass. (’06); the Howard Yezerski Gallery, Boston (’06); and the eo art lab, Chester, Conn. (’06). She was the 2006 Community Arts Initiative Visiting Artist at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where she designed and led the Blueprint Voyage Project. Rydz teaches at the Museum School, Tufts University, and Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Rydz has taught children’s art workshops at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Miami.
