Biography
Painting and Foundations. B.A., Social Psychology, Harvard College; Diploma and Fifth-Year Certificate, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Diploma in Russian Language, Army Language School, Monterey, CA. "For the last six to seven years, garden design and construction has become as important to me as painting has always been. I am in charge of the design and construction of a four-acre, public-access garden on Martha's Vineyard. In 1998, I received a joint grant from the Museum School and The Trustees of Reservations to spend time in Japan studying traditional and recent Japanese garden design. My painting influences the garden as much as the garden influences my painting, and both aim to express a spiritual quality. My painting can be seen in many public and private collections in Boston and on Martha's Vineyard, where I regularly show my work at various Island galleries."
