William Morris Hunt Memorial Library

On view July 1–October 1, 2010, "Summer 2010" is the tenth exhibition in collaboration between the SMFA and the William Morris Hunt Memorial Library, showcasing works created by SMFA students. The exhibition is organized by Jennifer Nichols, a second year MFA candidate.

This exhibition celebrates three Museum School faculty members––David Davison, Mags Harries, and Warren Mather––who, during the 2009/10 academic year, took time off from teaching for a sabbatical leave. As artists who teach, they are granting a unique view into their creative lives and, at the same time, into their lives as educators. Where do artmaking and pedagogy meet? This vital intersection is one of many that mark the Museum School education.
