Wisecrack, irony, and tact are a few words that characterize the work in "WIT," the final show of 2012 season at SMFA's Mission Hill Gallery on view November 16December 7, 2012. Juried by Randi Hopkins, independent curator and former associate curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA), the works make tangible the often elusive realm of humor and include everything from political, tongue-in-cheek satire to subtle, comical incongruities.
