Edythe F. Wright lives and works in Boston. She earned her MFA at the Museum School/Tufts University and BFA at Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has been exhibited at The DeCordova Museum, The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, Sarah Doyle Gallery, Brown University, Open Square Gallery, Holyoke, MA, The Firehouse Gallery, Burlington, VT, Lillian Immig Gallery, Emmanuel College, Boston; White Columns Gallery, New York; Oni Gallery, Boston; Mills Gallery, Boston; Bernard Toale Gallery: Boston Drawing Project, Boston; Mobius, Boston; the Artists' Foundation, Boston and other spaces. She is a founding member of the Fifth Business Curatorial Collaborative. Wright has been teaching sculpture, drawing and design at the Museum School and other colleges for many years, as well as working as an Academic and Studio Advisor for the SMFA day school. She received a Massachusetts Cultural Council Artist Award for sculpture in 2003, and a LEF Foundation Visual Artist Grant in 2005.
