Mike Mandel received a BA from California State University, Northridge ('72) and a MFA from San Francisco Art Institute ('74). Recent permanent public art commissions include San Diego International Airport, Tampa International Airport, Charlotte Arena, and the 8th District Police Station in Chicago. His recent exhibitions include the "4th Berlin Biennial for Contemporary Art," Berlin ('06); "Evidence" with Larry Sultan at the Photographers' Gallery, London ('05); and "Bit Logic" at GASP Gallery, Brookline, Mass. ('05). He has taught at the Museum School, Wellesley College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
