Gerri Rachins received a Master of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Philadelphia College of Art, and also studied at The New York Studio School. Her drawings, paintings and prints have been included in numerous group exhibitions in major U.S. cities, including Boston, New York, Chicago and Baltimore. She has had three solo exhibitions in the Boston area, where she currently resides. In addition to teaching at SMFA, she has taught painting, drawing, and color courses at Massachusetts College of Art and Design for over a decade. Prior experience includes teaching color courses at New England School of Art and Design/Suffolk University, and design courses at the New England Institute of Art, the M.H. de Young Museum in San Francisco, CA and the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. She has been a Cultural Agenda Fund Panelist for the City of Boston, and a Program Coordinator for the Boston Mayor's Youth Arts Corps. Collections include: Fidelity Investments; Dana Farber Cancer Institute; The Faulkner Hospital; Neiman Marcus Corporate Collection; Massachusetts College of Art & Design; The Kamm Collection; Berkshire Partners and numerous private collections.
