Ashley Billingsley received a BFA from the University of Minnesota and an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University joint degree program. She was a 2009 recipient of the Research Grant in Aid, awarded by the Tufts University Graduate School of Arts and Science for her series of paintings examining the often unsatisfying relationship between vision and meaning. Recent exhibitions include "Content/Community" at Boston's Five Seven Delle Project Space ('09), "On the Heartbreaking" and "Beautiful Limits of Vision" at the Aidekman Arts Center in Medford, MA ('09) and "Sensed, Unseen," a forthcoming curatorial project at GASP Gallery in Brookline, MA ('10).
