Walter Stanul (sculpture) is the woodshop studio manager and technician at the Museum School. He received both a BA in Mathematics ('65) and a MA in Teaching (Mathematics) ('67) from the University of Florida, and has studied the making of historical musical instruments at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He continues his studies at Boston University's School of Artisanry, American Stringed Instrument Artisans, and the Guild of American Luthiers Convention. He designs and builds historic and modern guitars as well as new multi-stringed creations of extended range that have been featured on National Public Radio and in Fine Woodworking magazines biennial design book. He also restored a guitar for the Dangerous Curves exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
