Nancy Ellen Jones (photography) is a photographer, video, and installation artist living and working in Somerville, MA. Currently an MFA candidate at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University, she received a BFA in filmmaking at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco ('01) as well as BA in anthropology at Franklin Pierce University ('92). Her work has been exhibited in in the Courtyard Gallery in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Laconia Gallery, Boston; William Morse Hunt Library, Boston, MA; and Space Gallery, San Francisco, CA among others. Whether working in still or time based media, her art is a poetic commentary on the meditations and observations of the landscape that surrounds her, whether that be the landscape that of her family home, the US/Mexico border, or the Gulf coast communities of Mississippi and south Louisiana.
