Tom McGrath holds a BFA from Cooper Union and an MFA from Columbia University. Known for his work in painting, he has exhibited internationally for ten years; his most recent "Profiles in Fugitive Light" on view this spring at Sue Scott (New York). Prior exhibits include Maruani-Noirhomme, Knokke, Belgium; Lia Rumma, Naples, Italy; Zach Feuer/LFL NY; with 2-person exhibits at Cherry & Martin, Los Angeles, David Castillo, Miami. Select public collections include the Metropolitian Museum of Art, Yale Art Gallery, Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Wadsworth Atheneum, Neuberger Museum, the University of Virgina and the Orlando Museum of Art. Writings on his work have appeared in the Paris Review, Bomb Blog, Artforum, Purple Fashion, Tema Celeste, W Magazine, and the LA Times, among others. Residencies include the University of Tennessee and the Claude Monet/ Versailles Foundation in Giverny, France. McGrath is currently full time painting faculty at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
