Jenny French is an architectural designer and co-founder of the firm French 2D, exploring models of overlap between architecture, art and information. Projects include restaurant, theater and residential design as well large scale graphics and a text message-based urban intervention. French 2D has exhibited at the 13th Venice Biennale of Architecture, at Barnard College, at the Harvard GSD, and in the Young Architects Program 2013 exhibit at MoMA.
Jenny received a B.A. in Studio Art and Art History from Dartmouth College, and an M.Arch from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she was awarded the Julia A. Appleton Traveling Fellowship, a one year funded research and travel grant. Her travel research, focused on the sites of unbuilt architecture, culminated in an exhibition of narratives and models of an architectural imaginary. Jenny has been a Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome and has worked for SHoP Architects in NYC. She has taught at the Boston Architectural College Summer Academy as both Instructor and Lead Faculty. Jenny currently designs retail and workplace environments with Bergmeyer Associates in Boston.
