Jim Dow (international program) received a BFA in Graphic Design ('65) and a MFA in Photography at the Rhode Island School of Design ('68). He has taught at Harvard University and the Museum School since 1972, and has lectured extensively in the United States. Dow's recent solo exhibitions include the Clackamas County Historical Society, Oregon City, OR ('00); North Dakota Museum of Art, Grand Forks, ND ('00); Art Institute of Boston ('99); and Escuela Nacional de Fotographia, Argentina ('99). His recent group shows include "Photography in Boston," DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park, Lincoln, MA ('00); "New York Now: Photography," Museum of the City of New York, New York ('00); and J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles ('99). Dow has received grants and commissions from the North Dakota Museum of Art ('00), the Museum School, and the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, CT ('99). He has been featured in numerous publications in Japan, New York, San Francisco, and Boston.
