Kate Gilmore synthesizes video, sculpture, photography, and performance to activate post-feminist critiques of sex and gender.
Awards and grants include the Rauschenberg Residency Award and Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome. She has participated in the Whitney Biennial (New York) and The Moscow Biennial, (Moscow) and had solo exhibitions at MoCA Cleveland and Institute of Contemporary Art (Philadelphia) among others.
