Symposium on Gender and Culture: "In the Kitchen." An afternoon of lectures, discussions, and even a communal meal, the symposium will explore the way food preparation and consumption constructs and informs our sense of sex, gender, race and class around the world.

The Symposium on Gender and Culture is co-sponsored by Tufts' Women's Center the graduate student council and aims to explore contemporary social issues in terms of feminism and gender. The series launched in 2010 with the topic "Lady Gaga's Bad Romance with Feminism."
