The Tufts University Art Gallery will present the work of K. Tyler and Rebecca Wallach, Master of Fine Arts candidates in the joint graduate degree program of the SMFA and Tufts University, in the first of several MFA Thesis Exhibitions for the 2012–13 academic year. Tyler's photographs and Wallach's drawings in ink and gouache will be on view in the Koppelman Gallery in the Aidekman Arts Center November 30–December 16, 2012, and the artists will speak about their work at an opening reception on November 29. Although the subjects of their work and artistic mediums could not be more different, Tyler's landscape photographs and Wallach's drawings are rooted in their grandmothers' narratives and create a poignant illustration of the pleasures and pains of passing time and the tension between past and present.
