Joanna Tam (Montague Fund) traveled to Istanbul, Turkey in the summer of 2012. The travel grant allowed her to attended IPA Summer, a performance festival organized by the International Performance Association in partnership with maumau art residency and Koza Visual Culture and Arts Association. The festival included a week-long workshop and conference. Joanna had a piece in the festival titled "Cok Tessekur Ederim," which involved writing and speaking at the same time.
