MFA Thesis Exhibition "Secret Acts"

"Secret Acts," features four artists who turn private acts into public narrative, examining reality/fiction, ritual/restitution and past/present. For this exhibition, Monica Lynn Manoski creates fragile armor made of sugar to recall and address her struggle with an eating disorder. Manoski graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 2010 with a BFA in drawing and painting. Manoski has had several solo exhibitions including shows at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster, Indiana and La Porte County Convention & Visitors Bureau in Michigan City.
