"Tenfold," a student show organized with the help of faculty member Ethan Murrow, will feature the work of BFA students from Murrow's advanced painting class. These students have worked throughout the year on the development of cohesive work and towards an exhibition outside of the school. Last year a hugely successful show was held at Howard Art Project, and this year the show moves to a new space at OGO Gallery in Jamaica Plain.
"Tenfold" is an exhibition of artists who have been working and conversing in a studio space for a year. As a result of this dialogue, there are overlapping conversations surrounding painting. While these artists work closely together, each is involved in a distinct investigation, and the outcomes are visually, materially and conceptually diverse. Featured artists are: Alex Buchanan, Klementina Budnik, Abbey Campbell, Spencer Hinson, Grace Jackson, Stephanie Mills, Danielle Norris, Pawel Przewlocki, Kushala Vora, Sena Wataya.
The show opens Friday, March 1, 2013, from 69 pm, and will run until March 15, 2013.
