MFA Thesis Show "Théâtre Lumière: New Works + A One-Act Play"

Théâtre Lumière will feature paintings, installations, and films + live performances on April 19. Stephen St. Francis Decky works with an ever-evolving cast of shape-shifting characters, and renders their histories and logic on dramatic, pastel landscapes. The scenes play out in a variety of media, from acrylic paintings and sculptural installations to the photographs and films through which these stories are brought to life. Decky's work has appeared in galleries, festivals and collections nationally and internationally, including the New Britain Museum of American Art, the Nagoya Museum of Fine Arts in Nagoya, Japan, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
