Museums Celebrate Alumnus Ellsworth Kelly at 90 In celebration of alumnus Ellsworth Kelly's (Dip '48) 90th birthday on May 31, museums and galleries around the globe have organized special exhibitions of his diverse body of work.

The artist's dealer, Matthew Marks Gallery will present "Ellsworth Kelly At Ninety" through June 29, 2013. Additionally, the National Gallery of Art will exhibit prints in "Ellsworth Kelly Colored Paper Images" open through December 1, 2013; the Museum of Modern Art, NYC reunite all 14 of Kelly's Chatham series paintings for the first time in 40 years in an exhibition on view through September 8, 2013; The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art show works from throughout the artist's career in "Homage to Ellsworth Kelly," open through August 25 and "Ellsworth Kelly at 90: Paintings from the Paris years until Today," open through June 2; the Barnes Foundation will celebrate the artist's birthday with its first contemporary exhibition in ninety years, "Ellsworth Kelly: Sculpture on the Wall," open through September 2, 2013. Installations and exhibitions are set to open later this year at The Pompidou Center, Paris, the Tate Modern, London, the Art Institute of the Chicago and the Phillips Collection, DC.
