SMFA Faculty among the Massachusetts Art Educators of the Year The Massachusetts Art Education Association (MAEA) has announced the 2009-10 Massachusetts Art Educator of the Year recipients. Congratulations to the three Tufts University/Museum School affiliated educators were honored this year:

Middle School Massachusetts Art Educator of the Year: Kristen Ripley, Art Education faculty member and full-time middle school art teacher in Belmont public schools.
Supervisor/Administrator Massachusetts Art Educator of the Year: Marie Shack, Art Education faculty member and full-time art teacher and arts administrator in Wilmington public schools.
Higher Education Massachusetts Art Educator of the Year: Patricia Bode, director of the Tufts/Museum School Art Education program and faculty member.

MAEA, a member of the National Art Education Association, honored the recipients in nine categories at an awards ceremony during the MAEA Conference, November 14 at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.
