Rubin-Kunda's performance, Marking Stones, was created at the Binaural Artists Residency in Nodar, Portugal 2008. She wanders through Nodar, stopping at different points to draw, mark and incise stones according to the specific conditions at each site—tracing the rays of sun or the shadow of a plant, completing the hint of a face, adding grafitti, inscribing the roadside slabs.
