Please join faculty Paul Stopforth for a booksigning and U.S. launch of his new book TAXI-015 on Tuesday, October 26, 5–7 pm in the Museum School atrium.
Stopforth's new full color, 96-page book is the 15th volume in the TAXI series published by David Krut Publishing (Johannesburg, South Africa) and features essays by Judith Mason, Anne Sassoon, Leora Maltz-Leca and Kate McCrickard.
TAXI-015 traces the trajectory of his career as an artist—from the early works that courageously engaged the repressive South African society in which he lived to more recent work that is keenly attuned to the significance of ordinary objects he imbues through his painting and drawing.
