2011 Karsh Prize Recipients Announced Bookmark and Share   

2011 Karsh Prize Recipients Announced Congratulations to the recipients of this year's Yousuf Karsh Prize in Photography: BFA candidates Gabriel Sweet (first place), Daylynn Richards (second place) and MFA candidate Katrina Neumann (third place).

Their award-winning photographs will be exhibited in the "Student Annual Exhibition," which opens in the Mrs. E Ross Anderson Auditorium and Barbara and Steven Grossman Gallery on February 10, 2011, which includes SMFA award recipients and other exceptional works that are juried into the show.

The Karsh Prize is awarded annually to three talented students of photography. The 2011 prizes were juried by: Anne Havinga, Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh Curator of Photographs, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Emily Voelker, MFA, Prints, Drawings and Photographs; Karl Baden, photographer and Ben Sloat, photographer and 2002 Karsh Prize recipient.
