Violence Transformed 2011 Exhibition Features Work by SMFA Artists, through May 31 Violence Transformed is an annual series of visual and performing arts that draw upon the creative energies of artists throughout New England and document how our communities harness the power of power of art, artists and artmaking to effect social change and transform our environments and ourselves.


Founded by alumna Mary Harvey (Post-Bac '09, Dip '10), many SMFA artists are actively involved in this annual event. On view through May 31, "Violence Transformed: The Artist's Voice" is curated by Harvey and features work from 11 SMFA artists:
