The SMFA Pre-College Program is a rigorous summer program for high school students interested in the visual arts. The core of the curriculum centers around an interdisciplinary approach, combining studio work, critique and discussion, building a solid foundation of artistry, conceptualization and technical skills. Students from a variety of backgrounds and countries spend four weeks on SMFA's campus, utilizing the studios, working with expert faculty and graduate mentors, building their portfolios, exploring the Museum of Fine Arts and Boston's cultural and historic landmarks. Graduates of the program can earn up to four college credits towards undergraduate study at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts
