Christopher Bratton joined the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (SMFA), in July 2010 after six years as president and CEO of the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI). Prior to leading SFAI, Bratton was a key part of the academic, then administrative team at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
As president, Bratton is responsible for the leadership, creative direction and overall administration of the School. Guided by thorough and effective planning and in collaboration with the director of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA), our board of governors, faculty and staff, he is crafting a forward-thinking vision for the School that is both true to its long-standing values and relevant today.
