The Museum School offers three distinct programs leading to the bachelor’s degree: the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), the Bachelor of Fine Arts Plus MAT in Art Education (BFA Plus MAT), and the five-year Combined-Degree Program (BA/BFA or BS/BFA). All bachelor’s degree programs are offered in partnership with Tufts University.

You may apply as a first-time student, a transfer student, or an international student.

Please note: Applicants to the SMFA/Northeastern University Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art Program apply directly to Northeastern. There are a limited number of places available in the new SMFA/Northeastern joint degree program. If you are interested in studying at the SMFA, we encourage you to apply to both the Northeastern and Tufts joint degree programs.
