Beijing-born and a resident of Brooklyn, Yun-Fei Ji's recent drawings have taken as their subject the effects of a controversial civil engineering project on the Yangtze River: the Three Gorges Dam. His work has been recently shown at ZenoX, Antwerpen; James Cohan Gallery, New York; the Contemporary Art Museum, St. Louis; and the 2002 Whitney Biennial. Major public collections include the MoMA, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
