The Certificate Programs in Graphic
Design and Illustration offer concentrated, professional study and lead to credentials representing proficiency and skill. Through meetings with an advisor, you will construct a highly-personalized path of study to achieve your artistic and creative potential. Intended for students with limited formal training in
art and design as well as for those with a fine arts background or experience in their field. They consist
of four required and four elective courses, and may be completed in two years of part-time study. Fundamental courses in design and illustration enable you to begin building your portfolio and develop new creative skills. You may take advantage of the flexible and multidisciplinary education offered at the Museum School by selecting your electives from a wide range of studio courses offered each term. You may also participate in the Internship Program, which offers hands-on opportunities with art organizations, design firms, and other local businesses.
