Summer Courses and Intensives
We offer a wide range of studio art courses for both credit and not-for-credit, in areas ranging from drawing to painting to video.
Studio Art Workshops
Our Studio Art Workshops offer you a chance to immerse yourself in artmaking for as little as four weeks to as long as 12 weeks.

Certificate Programs: Graphic Design and Illustration
Certificate programs in graphic design and illustration lead to credentials representing proficiency and skill that will help differentiate you in today’s competitive workplace.

Programs for High School Students
We offer Saturday workshops in the fall and spring and the Pre-College Summer Studio. Join us—whether you are developing a portfolio, want to attend art school, or simply are a creative person with untapped potential . 
Advising
One-on-one advising with faculty and staff, which will help you navigate the School's Continuing Education offerings and create paths of study based on your strengths and interests, as well as the School's interdisciplinary philosophy.
Artist's Resource Center
The Artist's Resource Center, which offers career advising, job links, internships, professional-focus courses, community-partnership opportunities, and a wealth of online resources such as artSource.

Review Boards
Group critique of your work, known at the SMFA as a Review Board, is available to students who have utilized one-on-one advising and taken a minimum of four Continuing Education classes.

Exhibition Opportunities
The School offers exhibition opportunities for Continuing Education students. The first juried exhibition of Continuing Education student work, "Decent Exposure," was held this summer.
