Imagine presenting your body of work to a group of engaged faculty members and peers and receiving thoughtful, constructive critiques. That is what happens during a Review Board, and that is how we evaluate the studio artwork of students in the Museum School’s full-time
programs.
New this year, Continuing Education students who have
utilized one-on-one advising and taken a minimum of four Continuing Education
courses are eligible for a Review Board.
A Review Board is an intense and productive process that
allows you—and your reviewers—to step back and see your work in context, as a
whole. Review Boards not only help you gauge your progress in relation to your
personal goals, but also help you learn to talk about your work and listen to
and evaluate criticism—essential preparation for submitting work for exhibition
opportunities, artist residencies, and grant applications.
One student describes the review board process as “extremely
inspiring and motivational.” See for yourself.
