ACCESSING YOUR ACCOUNT: Access your account by visiting
https://school.smfa.edu. Your login or username is typically the
first letter of your first name, plus your last name. For example, Jasper Johns
is JJohns. Your address is
username@fpx.smfa.edu (for example,
JJohns@fpx.smfa.edu). If there is an apostrophe or hyphen in your name, please
omit these from the username. ACCOUNT CAPACITY: Your account has
a maximum capacity of 50 MB.
When
your account is at 30 MB you will receive a warning about its
size. When your account reaches 40 MB you will
receive e-mails but
will be unable to send them. Finally, when your account reaches 50 MB
you will be unable to send or receive e-mails. MANAGING YOUR ACCOUNT: To keep down the
size of your account, delete
any e-mails containing large attachments. Keep in mind that unless you
manually
empty your Deleted Mail folder, e-mails will remain there
undeleted. Sometimes e-mails in your Deleted Mail
folder or your
Draft folder will clog up your
account.
CHECK
YOUR ACCOUNT FREQUENTLY! Important
information is being sent to your account on a regular basis. Staff sends
information regarding deadlines, events, opportunities, and other topics of
interest weekly. As a student, you can have your information about an event or
art project forwarded to all students by e-mailing studentaffairs@smfa.edu.
YOUR
PASSWORD: Your password for your e-mail is
linked to your password for the network in the Mac Lab on the second floor of
the Main Building (230 The Fenway). If you change
your network password in the Mac Lab, your e-mail password will automatically
change. It is recommended that you change your password at the end of each
semester to protect the security of your
account.
QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS? If you have any
