This spring Juliana Gregori, 18, brought new meaning to the term “bag lady.” At the invitation of Lord & Taylor, the continuing education student took up scissors, needle, and thread and made a skirt and a blouse out of the department store’s shopping bags. More Info >

"Master of Fine Arts Graduate Exhibition": May 1–18 at Tufts Art Gallery
		This exhibition is the fourth of an ongoing series of MFA thesis exhibitions shown annually at the Tufts University Art Gallery as part of the joint graduate degree program of Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. More info >

13th Annual Medal Award is highest grossing in recent School history
		The May 12 event, honoring Julian Schnabel, raised over $300,000 for student scholarships. The evening included a screening of Schnabel's most recent film, Berlin, and in attendance was the film's subject, Lou Reed. More info >

SMFA Sidewalk Sale raises nearly $1000 for local charity
		SMFA's annual Sidewalk Sale, held May 9–10, was another popular success, raising funds for the Dorchester Community Center for the Visual Arts. More info >

"The Senior Projects 2008": May 12–18 at SMFA

Led by faculty members Fritz Beuhner and Ron Rizzi, this exhibition features the work of twenty-one graduating students who volunteered to be part of the SMFA’s second installment of the Senior Projects program.
