Despite lackluster weather over
the weekend, the SMFA's Sidewalk Sale was a great success. Shoppers had the opportunity
to browse work by over 50 artists in media such as ceramics, photography,
jewelry, textiles, paintings, and more.
One of the Sidewalk Sale's
annual traditions is to donate a percentage of all proceeds to an organization
chosen by students. This year a total of $975 will benefit the
Dorchester Community Center for the Visual Arts, an organization working to make
visual arts education available to everyone in the Dorchester community.
