| Naveed Nour (computer arts) was born in Cologne, Germany to Iranian parents, who eventually moved back to Iran. While studying photography at Tehran University’s School of Fine Arts, he traveled throughout Iran documenting the affects of the Iran/Iraq war on that society. Nour migrated to Ankara, Turkey in 1985, where he worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. He then moved to Ottawa, Canada, received a BFA in Photography from the University of Ottawa (’91), and eventually came to America to pursue his career in photography. Once here, Nour became involved in the information technology field and earned a Masters in Management of e-Commerce from Cambridge College (‘03). Together, Nour and his wife founded PhotoEmerge, an organization dedicated to helping emerging photographers. Throughout these career changes Nour has consistently exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions, including recently at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Copley Society of Art, Watertown Public Library, Brookline Art Center, St. Botolph Club, and Northeastern University, among others. |
