Canyon State Park, California as part of the film and
performance
pieces “The Ocean Wave and Western
Longings” that
are part of a
group
of art works
considering the travels of
Dutch Artist Bas Ader and the
Western Frontier of American
history within the
context of western
migrations of
non-European
Diaspora.

of a four part
photo-performance piece restaging Glenn Gould’s train ride to the
Artic
Circle in 1967. t
raveling to Churchill,
Manitoba, Dawit
documented the train ride
north,
recorded sounds and visuals of the
Aurora Borealis and
constructed a
temporary dome sculpture in the
landscape.

conference in London,

specifically
focusing on global performance art.
